Prospective candidates are invited to take part in the CanoeKids Summer Program Instructors Course hosted by CanoeKayak BC. This course is open to interested registrants 15 yrs of age and over. It is useful, but not necessary, to have a background in canoe racing. The course will be both instructional and hands on and will be facilitated by Ashley Rowe. The assessment portion will be included in the session ensuring that participants will be fully certified at the completion of the course.
Dates: Friday, June 17th & Saturday, June 18th
Host: Nanaimo Canoe & Kayak Club/ PacificSport Regional Canoe/Kayak Centre Isl.
Inn at Long Lake: Friday night & Saturday afternoon; Club Saturday morning
Times: 6 - 9 pm Friday
9 am 5pm on Saturday

& Paddling Clothes
Cost: A generous grant from SportsFunder Lotteries and the Coaches Association of BC will allow us to deliver this course at a much subsidized cost.
$25 payable to CanoeKayak BC for registered coaching/competitive members
$100 payable to CKBC for non coaching/competitive members of CKBC

Those candidates completing this course will be recognized by the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) as having completed the CanoeKids Coaching in Community Sport Program.
