Club Programs

Basic Recreational Membership

  • $150 for single or family membership, $5 insurance fee required for each member
    Saturday morning 10:00-12:00 drop-in sessions all year round. During the sprig and summer months (June-September), add in Monday evening from 6:30-8:00pm and Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00pm during July and August.
  • Participation in Club social activities and outings
  • 3 hour Introduction to Canoe-Kayak is required for safety and comfort on the water.
  • Use of recreational boats and equipment.

 

Competitive Sprint Racing Program

  • $150 for basic membership, $5 insurance for additional family members, plus...
  • $400 for spring/summer Competitive Development Program fee (April – September: 4+ practices per week), includes: coaching, regatta entry fees, transportation of equipment to regattas, and CKBC competitive race insurance fee, - OR -
  • $250 for summer Junior Competitive Development Program fee (July - September: 2+ practices per week), includes: coaching, regatta entry fees, transportation of boats, and CKBC competitive race insurance.

 
Summer Camps (Register with Nanaimo Parks, Recreation & Culture 756-5200)

  • Introductory Canoe-Kayak Camp - (7-13yrs) $70 
      • 9:00 am - 12 noon Monday - Friday (July & August)
      • Kids must be at Swim Kids Level 4 abiltiy (old Aqua Quest 5 or Maroon)
  • CanoeKids - Full Day Canoe-Kayak Camp - (7-14yrs) $155
      • 8:45 am - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday (July - August)
      • Kids must be at Swim Kids Level 4 ability (old Aqua Quest 5 or Maroon)

Camps are located at Loudon Park, Long Lake and are a great way to see if your kids are interested in canoeing and kayaking.  Both recreational and racing canoes and kayaks will be used in the courses.  The full day camp will involve a balance of dryland activities as well as lots of skills and fun drills on the water!  Please have your kids dress appropriately for the weather and equiped with snacks and water bottles (lunch for those full day campers!).
